How much weight can a new build loft take?

- Permanent Load (Dead Load): 25kg per square metre. This accounts for the permanent weight of the structure itself, including ceiling plasterboard, insulation, and the loft boarding/sub-frame system.
- Temporary Load (Imposed/Live Load): 180kg per square metre. This accounts for the weight of stored items (suitcases, boxes, seasonal items) and anyone moving around or walking across the storage platform.
